CEP STATEMENT ON THE NATIONAL H2 STRATEGY

Berlin, 13 March 2020. The Clean Energy Partnership (CEP) welcomes the fact that many aspects of CO2-free hydrogen are appropriately addressed in the Federal Government’s National Hydrogen Strategy (NWS). The industry partnership is also focusing on the rapid establishment of an integrated hydrogen economy so as to achieve the climate targets for 2050 with a long-view, cross-sectoral approach. This course of action is to be accompanied by a close integration of the approach for a Europe-wide hydrogen industry strategy and the ‘Green Deal’.

Infraserv Höchst is new CEP partner

Berlin, February 7, 2020 - Hessian company Infraserv Höchst is joining the Clean Energy Partnership (CEP). As a pioneer of e-mobility with hydrogen for everyone, the partnership is thus moving a step closer to its goal. Because Infraserv, the company that operates Industriepark Höchst, is already demonstrating how a hydrogen infrastructure conserves resources and produces fewer climate-damaging emissions.

Hydrogen strategy must set binding measures, quantity targets, and time-lines

A clear message from industry to government at the DWV, DVGW, and CEP Parliamentary Evening

Berlin, 25/11/2019 - The German Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (DWV), the German Gas and Water Association (DVGW), and the Clean Energy Partnership (CEP) discussed industrial policy requirements for a future-oriented National Hydrogen Strategy with more than 150 guests from politics and industry in Berlin today. The majority of those present agreed that to establish an efficient hydrogen economy, policymakers must work with industry to jointly develop a binding industrial policy plan. Germany’s government must ensure the necessary investment security for the process of transforming into a climate-neutral industrial society by implementing intelligent, far-sighted European and national legislation,. This is the only way to achieve the 2050 climate targets while safeguarding prosperity and security of supply.
